Health & Safety
It is the policy of Dane Architectural Systems to provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions, safe equipment and safe systems of safe working for all our employees, and to provide such information, training and supervision as is needed.
We also acknowledge our responsibility for the health and safety of other people who may be affected by our activities. The allocation of duties for safety matters and the particular arrangements are set out in our health & safety policy, which is reviewed yearly.
Our total aim is not simply to comply with legislation but to attain higher standards through the adoption of recognised good practice and visible leadership on health and safety at all levels throughout the company.
We are committed to achieving this through a programme of promoting a positive approach to accident prevention and continuously improving the management of the safety and health of our workforce.
Our site management all hold the CITB Site Managers Safety Training Scheme certificate, with our supervisors holding the Supervisors certificate as a minimum.
We are fully committed to the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) with all operatives and site management and other selected personnel fully trained and registered.
We are registered and approved with the Contractors Health & Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS).
We are also a registered member of the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB), British Safety Council and the Newcastle Construction Safety Group. Further information can be found in our Health & Safety policy document
CSCS award organisations with the Gold standard when 75% of their staff have received CSCS status, Dane Architectural Systems has now exceeded the 90% mark to be accredited with the highest Platinum award. This award emphasises our continuing commitment to providing the best possible service to our customers by ensuring that staff are trained to the highest standards.
We are committed to protecting the environment in which we work and to ensure that the environmental impacts from our operations are kept to a minimum. Moreover the company aims not only to comply with applicable environmental legislation but to set higher standards through training and the adoption of recognised best practice.
Particular emphasis is given to the prevention of pollution and control of waste.
We also strive to minimise the effects of noise, dust, disturbance and inconvenience to others during the course of our operations.
We actively promote the use of sustainable materials and adopt effective fuel and waste management principles where practicable.
Dane operate an Environmental Management System which is fully accredited and compliant with ISO 14001.
